Overview
Telouët is a village where the chief Glaoui used to live along time ago, he controlled the regions and federated the Berber tribes against the royal power. They set up the valley of the Ounila as an obligatory checkpoint to all caravans from south to the city of Marrakech which used to exchange salt, gold and other riches for food. It is in this amazing valley rich for its fascinating history and culture that we will be staying in the heart of a Berber village.
NB: this trip will be taking place tents under the stars, it is possible to hike every day according to your physical abilities and your preferences. Any modifications of the program must be made in agreement with the guide and the entire group.
Tour Program
Depending on your arrival time, you can take time to walk the alleys of the Medina of Marrakech, the red city.
We shall begin our journey in the morning by a minibus, heading south passing through the high Atlas Mountains. We will drive across Tizi NTichka pass, towards Telouët by taking the road leading to the bottom of the Ounila valley. Very quickly the road becomes a track that winds in the valley.
Then we take a short walk of 2 hours to reach the cottage where we settle for the week. We will be spending the night in a cottage in the village of Tighouza (1880m).
In this day, we will be exploring the sources of Ait Alla crossing high plateaus serving pastures to herds of the valley about 6 hrs walk of discovering the amazing region. Back and overnight at the cottage.
Our steps lead us today to the Tawrine Gorge, getting there will require to climb the pass of Tizi Oukhssane (2350m).

This day program is to reach Anmiter Through the Aourik valley while exploring its gardens and orchards passing across the Assif N’Tounaine and the Djebel N’Isly. Then w go back to the house to spend the night.
In this day, a long walk awaits. We will head West to explore villages and their cultures, along with their lifestyle. We will have lunch on the shores of Lake Tamda that is 2650m above sea level and then return to the cottage.
We will take a last quick tour, then be back to meet with the minibus that will take us back to Marrakech. On the road, the possibility to visit the Kasbah Chief Glaoui Telouët (entry at your expense). Overnight at the hotel in Marrakech.
